Dr. Gogu completed his Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in mathematics from the University of Texas at San Antonio, where he graduated magna cum laude. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Virginia. He completed his family and community medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Texas A&M University Health Science Center. He rounded out his medical training with a pain medicine fellowship at the Texas Pain Institute.

Dr. Gogu is triple board-certified in pain medicine, sports medicine, and family medicine. Throughout his career, he has worked in urgent care clinics, family medicine practices, sports medicine/pain medicine clinics, offered telemedicine services, and emergency departments. He has also contributed to a variety of publications, research, presentations, and more. 

Currently, he serves on the Texas Medical Board as an expert panelist. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, American Academy of Family Physicians, Texas Osteopathic Medical Association, Texas Medical Association, Texas Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, Spine Intervention Society, and American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians.

To better serve his patients, Dr. Gogu is fluent in English and Telugu, and semi-fluent in Hindi and Spanish (medical).

When he is not in the office, Dr. Gogu enjoys playing tennis, golf, basketball, traveling, trying new cuisines, and providing community service.
